The company name reflects a unique knowledge of European furniture design developed over more than 25 years at the sharp end of design itself.
In addition, designiQ provides highly competitive bespoke in-house designed products to fill the gaps where standard products cannot meet the brief.
- adds value and design-quality within available budgets with a unique, broad and discerning knowledge of products.
- offers cost saving through strong and direct purchasing relationships with manufacturers and as a result of an efficient operation.
- goes the ‘extra mile’ in being completely flexible with delivery and installation to match client needs and when site is sometimes delayed, offering ‘no-hassle’ free storage for a reasonable time.
This is not a ‘one night stand’; we aim to create a lasting relationship based upon mutual trust and success.
We do not treat your projects as if we were merely supplying a commodity, but instead offer true consultancy skills and cost management.
designiQ was formed in 2009 by Duncan Chorley better known by his colleagues as ‘the furniture Guru’.
Duncan studied furniture design at Ravensbourne College of Art & Design and went on to earn first class BA honours at Leeds.
He was presented with an award by HRH Princess Diana for ‘young designer of the year’ (furniture) in 1988 and graduated with an MA from the Royal College of Art in 1990.
Since, Duncan has spent the following years as a furniture consultant to architects, designers as well as manufacturers, designing from time to time bespoke products before forming designiQ.
